Mario Party 10 is a party video game developed by Nd Cube and published by Nintendo for Wii U. It is the tenth "main" game in the Mario Party series, the fourteenth in the franchise, and the first and only game in the series for the Wii U. The game was released worldwide in March 2015.

Mario Party 10 continues the tradition of the Mario Party series, in which four players, controlled by either human or CPU, compete against each other on a game board by participating in various minigames. Along with the standard competitive modes, the game introduces two new modes called Bowser Party and Amiibo Party.

Known Issues

A select few mini-games still crash when encountered, but most work now. You will still need a wiimote to control some of these mini-games since they tend to use the wiimote pointer.
You may experience game crashes when playing through the selection of game boards. You may get as far as the "Home Straight" and the game will crash or sometimes it may not.
When accessing the "Free Play" mode the game may also crash.

Mario Party 10 - Amiibo save error
Cemu supports the reading of Amiibo .bin files via the NFC option however saving a configuration to an Amiibo is required before gameplay can begin and saving (as of version 1.22.3) is not currently functioning.

Configuration

To play set "Controller 1" using a "Gamepad" profile profile (Pro Controller don't work) and then use the "Separate Gamepad View" with your mouse (buttons which only appear on the Gamepad and not on the TV).

For some minigames, you need Motion Controls to play correctly (ex: Bowser's Bad Breath).
To use motion controls the use of a Dolphin Bar Wiimote sensor bar may be necessary. Connecting Wiimotes via bluetooth is supported however the accuracy of the onscreen pointer may not function correctly using bluetooth so some testing is needed depending on your setup.

NOTE If you plan to use a Dolphin Bar it may help to install the Dolphin emulator as well and configure the Wiimotes through that as well.
When playing the game you will see the Gamepad view appearing on both the TV and the "Separate Gamepad View" displaying the message "Look at the TV". When this occurs you will need to hold down the Tab key on your keyboard to get the TV view to display correctly.

GAME MODES
Mario Party 10 - game mode selections
Bowser Party
Mario Party 10 - Play as Bowser level options
To play this mode as Bowser set "Controller 1" using a "Gamepad" profile (a Pro Controller won't work) and then use the "Separate Gamepad View".

If you have a smartphone to use you could try displaying the "Separate Gamepad View" on the smartphone screen using the Spacedesk app.
And to use motion controls when playing as Bowser in the "Gamepad" view try setting up motion controls on an Android phone using BSOD Gaming's guide.
And when playing as Bowser its possible for up to five players to join the game where one player is Bowser and the other four as part of Team Mario

Note that you can also play the Bowser mode as "Team Mario" using a Wiimote where Bowser is controlled by the computer. The "Team Mario" selection in Bowser mode requires four players so you cannot remove "COM" players like you can in the Mario Party mode

Mario Party
Mario Party 10 - Play as Team Mario level options
To play this mode use of a Wiimote is preferable and using a Dolphin Bar as referred to above.

The "Mario Party" mode includes more game boards than "Bowser Party", up to five along with a "Free Play" mode and an additional "Coin Challenge" mode.
And the "Free Play" includes more options than the "Bowser Party" mode.

Note that its possible to play this mode with two to four players by adding and removing "COM" players.

Sound FX are odd in mini-games only (stuttering), and there's a big drop in framerate in most mini-games! Both modes are playable, but mini-games sometimes ask players to hold the controller horizontally, so you have to hold your controller vertically to use the d-pad as intended.

1.16.0d Windows 10 Home EUR Intel Core i5 NVIDIA GTX 970 DavyJones 50-60 Playable Tested using both OpenGL and Vulcan.
Mario mode tested and appears to work fine.
There is a mini-game inside the "Whimsical Waters" map which features a boss that is a fish that players must shoot cannons at. However the boss which is not visible when playing so the mini-game cannot be completed correctly so avoid for now.
Reading Amiibos via NFC appears to function but trying to configure Amiibos appears to crash the game.
If you launch the game and before you do anything else you read an NFC tag Ammiibo file it will unlock the additional Amiibo supported Party Mode but as said it is not playable as the game does not seem able to write to Amiibos in the way Super Smash Bros can.
The same applies when choosing the Amiibo specific modes, the Amiibo may be recognised but cannot be configured so you cannot continue.
NOTE in Bowser mode the Gamepad is to be used but the Gamepad view is displayed also in the main application window so you need to press Tab key to show the TV screen view rendering it unplayable in a way

1.22.3 Windows 10 x64 2004 EUR AMD Ryzen 5 3600X NVIDIA RTX 2060 Super DavyJones 60 Playable I created a fresh install of Cemu and followed BSOD Gaming's latest setup guide and I moved the copy of Mario Party 10 to the same drive and directory as Cemu and it has not crashed since. Or at least when playing 3 maps one of which definitely crashed before. All minigames appear to function correctly with all characters and items visible along with motion controls for Wii remotes using a Mayflash Dolphin Bar.
1.22.6c Windows 10 USA Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz 1.99 GHz NVIDIA MX150 dplc81 60 Playable Runs at 60fps after changing CPU Mode to "single-core recompiler" in game profile. If set to "Auto" it runs at half speed. Whimsical Waters big fish battle is fixed. *In earlier Cemu versions, where the fish goes away and never returns, it is still beatable, just wait 10 minutes and the timer will auto finish the battle.* Different Wii Remotes worked fine, except for a 2014 Wii Remote Mario Edition, whose pointer will not work. Curiously, using the 4 Wii Remotes together with a real Wii sensor bar, the higher the number of the controller, the worst is the pointer precision, being the 4th the least and the 1st the most precise. If one of the WiiMotes turn off (dry battery), sometimes CEMU will force close.
1.22.10b Windows 10 USA Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz 1.99 GHz NVIDIA MX150 dplc81 60 Playable CEMU will force close if you select Mushroom Park in any game mode. This is happening since 1.22.8. Sometimes CEMU will force close after a "Bowser Battle" minigame results screen.

1.26.0c Windows 10 USA Ryzen 7 3700x @ 3.60 GHz RTX 3070 J-Master 60 Playable This is the first version of Cemu that the game has worked on since 1.25.0b, but it doesn't seem like the compatibility is any better than it was before. There are still a

few graphical issues, and sometimes the game freezes after playing a minigame in Free Play. At least Mushroom Park doesn't crash anymore, although I'm pretty sure that was fixed in an earlier version of Cemu.

1.26.2f Windows 10 EUR Ryzen 7 5800X @ 3.80 GHz RTX 3070 PenguinInitiate 60 Playable Bowser Party, at least on Mushroom Park, seems almost completely playable on Vulkan. No issues to be found on the aesthetic side of things, except when hiding the star, as that causes the screen to somewhat pixelate, without affecting performance.
